A celebrity death hasn’t gotten to me this bad since PSH. This isn’t as good as I had remembered, but still a nice little collection to start the mourning.
This did a better job of balancing humor and politics than the feature. The more delicate touch doesn’t undermine the message, but does help make the message more approachable.
Gene Hackman was made for these kinds of cynical films. A great tale of trust and betrayal.
This was amazing. Tons of fun and really well put together. The Chaplin-esque sequence early on of the two lovers in their prime was some of the best film making I’ve seen in a while and that is before the giant penis and pope ringo. I haven’t seen much Russell yet, and it seems like people generally hate this one, but I hope there is more like it out there.
